Welcome Parents! To our classes and unit themes.

I anticipate your full participation in order for your child to be successful this year.

Home Learning

Home learning is designed to facilitate your child’s learning and to improve study skills.  It will be assigned on a daily basis.  Unless you receive notification to the contrary, your child will have home learning every night. Along with home learning assignments, your child is required to read 30 minutes each night.

Behavior

We all know that in order for learning to take place the learning environment must be free of disruptive behavior.  We have created a classroom management plan, which includes our class rules, rewards, and consequences.  In an effort to make the students more accountable for their behavior and gain insight on their input, our classroom rules are a cooperative effort between the students and teachers.  Our behavior management plan is based on a color system.

Technology

Other Educational Materials:

  • Time for Kids (refer to TFK letter)

  • Science & Social Studies Weekly

Attendance

One of the most important things that you can do for your child is to be sure that they are in school each day on time.  If your child is absent, it is required that you send a letter, or doctor’s note, to the teacher stating why he or she was absent as per parent contract.  Only ten (10) handwritten letters will be allowed per school year.  PLEASE NOTE: All work missed due to absences is required to be completed.
